PRP-02 Professional Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge
The PRP-02 is a professional rain gauge sensor with a unique single spoon tipping bucket that is a reliable low cost high quality rain gauge ideal for small weather stations, rainfall measurement, irrigation/soil moisture management and drain water measurement in drip irrigation.
A very accurate and reliable automatic rain gauge, the bucket is made in POM which a more dismissive material and therefore makes dust and dirt not stick so easily on the spoon and maximizes water release. The outer shell is made from STYROSUN which makes the surface easy to clean and the PRP-02’s high quality plastic materials and a simple design make for a very long durability (10-20 years)
It also has only one adjustment screw which makes it easy to recalibrate. All PRP-02 Professional Rain Gauges are manually calibrated, which gives you the guarantee for a very accurate measurement. Accuracy: +/- 2%.
The electronic printed circuit board with individually tested and high quality reed switches protects against extreme weather conditions such as extreme frost or heat. This includes corrosion from salt water due to the PCB is coated with weather-‐resistant varnish.

RIM-7499-STD Rain Gauge
The RIMCO RIM-7499 range of siphon controlled tipping bucket rain gauges are professional instruments designed and constructed for long-term operation with minimal maintenance under all climatic conditions. All materials are corrosion resistant. These proven instruments are accurate to within 3% up to rainfall rates of 190mm/hr.
The RIM-7499-STD (standard) comes with a lower specification funnel and calibration than the RIM-7499-BOM (Bureau Of Meteorology) version. The STD version is ultimately the ideal low-cost alternative to the BOM version. The lower cost RIM-7499-STD can however, be ordered with the higher specification 1% BOM calibration.
Rain falling on the 203mm collecting funnel is directed through a siphon control unit and discharges as a steady stream into a two-compartment bucket mounted in an unstable equilibrium. As each compartment fills, the bucket tilts alternately about its axis. Each tip forces a contact closure by magnetic means corresponding to 0.2, 0.25 or 0.5mm of rainfall according to bucket capacity. A calibration certificate is supplied with every RIM-7499 rain gauge.

PRS-1 Small Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge
The PRS-1 is a small rain gauge sensor with a unique single spoon tipping bucket that is a reliable low cost high quality rain gauge ideal for small weather stations, rainfall measurement, irrigation/soil moisture management and drain water measurement in drip irrigation.
Comes standard as machine calibrated with 1 mm resolution. Accuracy: +/- 5 %. With minimal maintenance, the outer shell is made from ASA (molded thermoplastic) which makes the surface easy to clean, and extremely resistant against the sun’s UV radiation; and it is frost‐ and heat resistant. The product is widely used in the automotive industry as well as several other outdoor applications. With a simple design for a very long durability (10-20 years).
